This a full-time, hourly position.
Job Summary:
The Pellet Mill Operator is an hourly position and is responsible for safely operating all pelleting equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs), specified feed formulation and quality procedures.
Work Duties and Required Skills:
ADM requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and a background check.

Job Summary:
The Pellet Mill Operator is an hourly position and is responsible for safely operating all pelleting equipment per standard operating procedures (SOPs), specified feed formulation and quality procedures.
Work Duties and Required Skills:
- Follow the expectations of all Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality standards.
- Follow the production schedule in accordance with feed formulation and quality guidelines.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) including, but not limited to, sequencing, flushing and clean-out.
- Responsible for changing and rebuilding specified pellet mill dies. Changing and rebuilding the die will consist of squatting, kneeling, pushing and some overhead work while using tools to adjust rolls and cleaning out the die in the event of it getting plugged. Lifting and cutting back in 50 lb. bags of flush pellets.
- Accurate reporting with necessary paperwork.
- Responsible for ensuring area is kept clean and completion of all listed housekeeping duties per the master sanitation schedule.
- Notify Lead Person if any out-of-spec quality conditions exist.
- Participate in shift exchange review and response meetings to communicate your key process indicator performance.
- Once qualified, provide mentoring and training to new colleagues in the Pellet Mill Operator position.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Plant Leadership.
- At times, overtime will be required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- A strong safety aptitude
- Basic math and reading skills
