Job description
Allocate engines to customers on a daily basis to help manage inventory and distribute product quickly. Working from our Tampa Headquarters (Oldsmar area), will work with the Order Desk Team ensuring data files/reports for the Marine Division are operating for the purpose of achieving corporate sales and profitability goals. Responsible for the updating and maintaining analysis of database files to help improve the efficiency of Marine corporate and field staff. Help field staff with dealer order analysis, dealer inventory, boat builder inventory, annual retail program progress, backorders, etc. Participate in the development of requirements, design, and implementation of other Marine Division projects as needed.
Principal Tasks
Allocate engines on a daily basis for payment from boat builders; may include dealer allocation.
- Provide sales and allocation engine database reports that will help internal and field staff analyze a myriad of inventory/sales issues including BB orders, boat builder inventory, backorder analysis, and others as needed. Produce these reports as needed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
- Work with Marine Division management team to ensure that requested data/information is effective and what is needed to help attain Division and corporate goals. Run BOT reports, make updates as needed to reports/database with changing needs for both Tampa and field staff.
- Work with Marine Division management team on analyzing current sales/inventory situations to help avoid future production issues with sales and inventory programs
- Assist/create training materials for the Marine Sales Department (including field) to help understand/utilize provided sales data to ensure its most efficient and proper usage.
- Interact with related departments by providing data research and statistical support. Responsible for being one of the main sources for Marine Division database information as it relates to retail/wholesale sales, inventory management, and annual sales program analysis.
- Assist as needed with other Marine Division projects/duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years in the Marine industry.
Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office.
Advanced Microsoft Access user.
Excellent analytical and research skills.
Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills and interface with all levels of management.
