Outreach Officer
Job description
An Outreach Officer staffs Soteria Solutions’ operations center supporting a mission-critical U.S. Government project. The candidate will be responsible for making initial contact with personnel designated by the U.S. Department of State that are eligible for relocation to a designated location. The candidate will be required to confirm personally identifiable information (PII) and contact information, ensure travelers have required travel documents, and provide detailed instructions to eligible personnel on the logistics of movement to the designated location. Applicant must be a positive, flexible, self-starter who is able to excel in this fast-paced environment. The candidate will be expected to exercise extreme discretion and judgment on a routine basis when performing their duties. Exceptional technical, communication and interpersonal skills are a necessity, including the ability to effectively communicate via written and verbal media. Candidate must also be fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari. This position functions as part of a team with a sense of ownership and dedication to mission.
Responsible for the following tasks:
- Work in a systems operation center environment.
- Making initial contact with eligible travelers; collecting and confirming travelers have the required travel documents; provide instructions related to logistics of movement from their location to third country location.
- Provide continuous information sharing, knowledge management, communications, and reporting support through collaborative business processes.
- Provide detailed analysis of data, identifying variations, discrepancies, and outliers in a given set of data.
- Develop detailed and technical written products for senior-level customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Education
- Knowledge of office software and IT Systems, to include Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Full Professional Proficiency in English, Dari, and Pashto.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Business, Political Science, or Communications.
Work is performed in the Rosslyn, VA area.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
