Delivery Associate for Amazon Delivery Service Partner

As a delivery associate, you will deliver packages in the comfort of new, safe, and technologically advanced 2021 Dodge Promaster vans to homes, businesses, and other delivery locations. With a strong dedication for customer satisfaction, you will play a key role in keeping our commitment to exceed customer expectations and make sure customer orders are delivered on time to the right location. Together, this position will become one of the best local delivery jobs in the region transporting packages for one of the world’s most reputable brands. This is a high-performance job with the expectation of 25+ stops delivered per hour in order to ensure optimal delivery success.

Basic Qualifications:

• Commonly work 4-5, 10 hour shifts per week including weekends
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High-school diploma or equivalent

• Must have a valid driver’s license, CDL not required
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a motor vehicle record check
• Must pass a four-panel drug test
• Proficient in English to meet US DOT standard of ability to read road signs and

communicate with regulatory personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

• Customer Service experience
• Professional large vehicle delivery driving experience
• Prior experience representing a well-regarded consumer brand with professionalism

• May assist in training other team members
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
• Ensure delivery vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times; treat as if your own

Duties / Typical Day:

• Routes originate from the Amazon delivery station in Hanover, MD.
• Arrive at the station by the required time to receive your van assignment based on the weekly schedule
• On-call drivers will need to be available with little notice (bonus potential)
• Attend the morning stand up to review safety procedures and goals for the day
• Receive your route assignment and the company provided smartphone/GPS device
• Perform a pre-trip vehicle inspection thoroughly checking the van for damage
• Deliver on average 200+ packages on your route (smartphone/GPS device has the

complete route pre-determined along with delivery estimates for each delivery) in exactly
the manner that our customer requires

• Follow all delivery instructions/notes as directed by customer (when in doubt, follow

company procedures)

• Promptly communicate any delivery issues while on route
• Possibly help another driver as directed (“rescue” routes)
• Return van to station after refueling it for the next day (fuel card provided)
• Remove all trash & debris from van
• Return smartphone/GPS scanner device and keys; debrief with manager
• Perform post trip inspection noting any required maintenance items
• Confirm next scheduled work day
