Major Duties/Responsibilities:

Time % Summary of major duties:

• 60 • Perform packaging testing using our packaging lab including simulatated distribution, compression, drop, etc.
• Review, recommend, test and implement various proposals for packaging design. Collaborate with project initiator on project objectives and expectations.
• Conduct analytical testing on materials and interpret data findings. Propose design recommendations to manager and/or customer as a result of findings.
• 20 • Support packaging laboratory with data collection and analysis
• Performing tests for distribution lab and testing lab
• Support packaging engineering Making CAD samples, making bag samples, assisting with audits
• Write test reports
• 20 • Conducts packaging studies aimed at decreasing costs, reducing material usage while maintaining product/cosmetic integrity.
• Review internal (Client) and external (customer) data to investigate and develop causation of packaging failure and develop/implement corrective actions accordingly.
• Assist engineers with projects
• Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform

Major duties/responsibilities:

• Basic understanding of other team members’ duties and responsibilities.
• Technical knowledge of packaging material fundamentals.
• Ability to communicate (oral and written).
• Mechanical aptitude and ability.

• PC skills preferred; MS Office, Excel

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

• Pursuing B.S. or M.S. in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related science field.

Experience:

• 0-3yr college experience (above)
