Spherion is hiring Packing/Shipping Associates for a Project Assignment in Jeffersonville, IN.
Shifts & Pay:
- Monday - Friday 7AM - 3:30PM - $15-16/HR
Responsibilties:
- Check the quality of finished product prior to packing.
- Pack finished product into proper cartons.
- Proficient in all shipping operations.
- Excellent language and communication skills.
- Adequate PC knowledge.
- Able to read instructions and comprehend specifications and format in English.
- Must be detail oriented and accurate in writing and numbers.
- Must possess basic mathematical and keyboard skills.
- Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds.
- Seal and label cartons.
- Stock cartons on pallets in the prescribed manner.
- Maintain adequate supplies of cartons, chipboards, filler pads, and tape at the work station.
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
- Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
- Distributes items to production workers.
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
