Job Description / Descripción del trabajo:
- Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary
- Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
- Prepare walls, pipes, vessels and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
- Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)
- Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture
- Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools
- Apply other coating finishes such as intumescent fireproofing.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Ability to perform all job duties and associated work functions in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and foremen.
- Minimum 2 Years experience as painter or similar role
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- On-the-job training offered.
- Prolonged periods standing and working outside.
- Physically able to perform assigned tasks.
