About the Position
This position is for the individual who seeks the opportunity to be mentored by excellent lawyers but also wants significant independence. You will work closely with our Vice President of Planning and Administration and will supervise another Government Benefits and Estate/Trust Administration Paralegal in providing outstanding results and customer service to our clients.
About You
You have 2+ years’ government benefits application experience and some estate/trust administration experience is a plus. You have a positive attitude and communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members. You have a friendly, courteous, patient and professional demeanor. You have a strong attention to detail and you’re highly organized.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Compile information for, prepare, file, and prosecute VA Aid & Attendance and ABD Medicaid benefits applications,
- Contribute to benefit strategy planning and implementation,
- Handling the administration of decedent’s estate and beneficiary trusts,
- Supporting clients in estate and trust administration matters,
- Preparing, reviewing, and filing inventories and accountings and shepherding filings through the official approval process,
- Educating clients,
- Supporting other Legacy Elder Law Center team members with subject matter expertise, and
- Positively representing the firm at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor.
Position Expectations – Do you have:
- A minimum of two (2) year government benefits application experience.
- Some estate/trust administration experience a plus.
- A positive attitude and ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and team members.

Salary is commensurate with experience but comes with a generous bonus structure and time off.
