Friends University is seeking to fill a part-time Assistant Coach of Men’s Basketball position in Wichita Kansas. This position will assist the head basketball coach in all aspects of the basketball program, facilitate as the head coach for the junior varsity program, as well as recruiting student athletes to support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA Champions of Character. Work hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday as permitted within hourly restrictions, with some weekends required.

Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.

At least four years of coaching is preferred. Experience with recruiting and eligibility processes preferred but not required. Strong organization, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to multi-task and be a part of a fast paced demanding environment. Ability to maintain confidential information, strong time management and leadership development skills. Must be able to work in a variety of weather and able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.
