Gilson Inspection Services, a division of Gilson Housing Partners, serves Housing Authorities nationwide with an array of services, from Property Management, Maintenance, Inspections, & Call Center Services, and Software Solutions

The full time or 2 part time Housing Inspectors will perform inspections for all Section 8 properties and/or potential properties as identified by Gilson Inspection Services for a Client in South Bend, Indiana. The number of hours will depend on the number of inspections required to be performed.

We are searching for retired, Military or other applicants that have a flexible schedule to perform inspections on a Full or Part Time Basis

The incumbent is responsible for performing initial inspections, special inspections, and maintenance checks for repairs of housing, apartments and other residences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects properties for compliance with all applicable regulations and policies, including those of Housing and Urban Development (“HUD”), Housing Quality Standards (“HQS”) local building codes and zoning ordinances.

Section 8 Inspection experience is not mandatory but is a plus. Bi-Lingual is a plus but not required.

Gilson Inspection Services will perform Section 8 Inspection Training to the Inspector that is hired. The number of hours per day or days per week that are scheduled can be flexible.

During training the applicant must:

• Learn all GSCC mobile Inspection app, software, and web software
• Learn all aspects of the Public Housing and Affordable Housing industry
