Peepa's is a locally & LGBT owned gift shop in the heart of downtown Palm Springs. We sell gifts, fashion, and art and carry brands ranging from small artists from across the world to local designers. We would call the atmosphere in the store a cocktail party- we are the host and customers are our guests! From the store's music, the products, the wallpaper, and, most importantly, the employees, this store's curated cocktail party atmosphere is our pride and joy!

We are looking for a sales expert: the right candidate for this job exemplifies our unique vibe and brings previous expert sales and customer service experience to the table.

This role is for 20-30 hours per week.

Basic Job Duties (non-comprehensive):

• Working the sales floor to greet customers, inform them about sales, and spark conversations that result in sales
• Learning product knowledge that tells a customer the story of our products
• Using Mac computers to check customers out on our point of sale system, answer customer questions, etc.
• Sign customers up for our newsletter
• Paying attention to sales goals set by the store owner
• Working as a team to complete tasks, communicate needs, and fulfill customer requests
• Replenishing products from backstock and filling new products in as they arrive
• Following directives from the store owner, manager, and coworkers
• Communal cleaning of bathroom, break area, front counter, sales floor, etc.

Minimum Applicant Requirements:

• Open availability
• Ability to work 4-8 hour shifts
• 3+ years of sales experience with confidence in fashion, gifts, and/or art
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a fast paced sales environment
• Basic math skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
• Friendly and energetic personality
• Ability to adapt to change easily

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 per hour
