The Lighthouse Veterinary Clinic opened its doors in 2016 with the mission to prevent, detect, and cure diseases of the four-legged family members in Fort Bend County. The Lighthouse Veterinary Clinic is a multi-doctor practice with a focus on team-based care. Our team is dedicated to practicing high quality veterinary medicine while also enjoying the work we do together. We strongly believe that practicing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine and combining shared experiences and knowledge produces better outcomes for our patients. Our practice offers modern medical equipment including cloud based practice management software, dedicated surgical & dental suites, digital radiographs, digital dental radiology, and so much more!
Our hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.
The Veterinary Assistant is responsible for assisting Veterinarians in the care of animals. The Assistant helps during initial examinations by restraining animals when necessary, stocking examination and surgery rooms with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order. Veterinary Assistants also communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files.
Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multi-task. Our next team member will be an energetic people-and-pet person with excellent work ethic and social and organizational skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours and some Saturdays.

- Can work individually, as well as on a team
- Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency, and working harmoniously with teammates is required
- Prior experience preferred
