Are you interested in ending homelessness for individuals, families, and communities? PATH is in search of an AmeriCorps VIP member to support the volunteer program that is is an integral part of all PATH programs and as we have grown so has the need for volunteers. Increased volunteer support would allow us to increase our capacity to support all client needs.

Service Term: January-June, or February-July

Service Commitment

· Full-time, six-month commitment serving a minimum of 900 hours, may include some evenings and weekends

· Service hours are expected to occur in person at partner sites. Teleservice is only permitted for members during unique, extreme situations and/or emergencies

In Exchange for Your Service

· Volunteer Management Certificate

· Monthly Living Stipend of $2,000*

· Segal Education Award of $3,247.50*

· Possibly eligibility for CalFresh (CA’s food stamp program) for those eligible

*Please note: the living stipend and education awards are taxable

Qualifications and Characteristics

· Must be at least 18 years of age (17 with parental approval)

· Clear criminal background check (DOJ and FBI; National Sex Offender Public Database).

· Provide proof of complete COVID vaccination (possibly required by region and/or placement site)

· Must have at least a high school diploma or a GED by the start date

· Must either be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States (Due to federal grant restrictions, we currently cannot accept DACA recipients)
