PATHOLOGY SUPPORT ASSOCIATE
Southwest General’s fully automated laboratory serves all areas of the health system including the emergency departments with blood bank, clinical chemistry, hematology, microbiology, histology and more. With many of our techs being generalists, our laboratory is a great place to learn and grow and we welcome both new and experienced lab professionals.
HOURS:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pathology Support Associate transcribes pathology reports and provides administrative support to the Pathologists.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Medical terminology preferred.
Required length of experience:
Two (2) years of administrative/clerical experience in healthcare preferred.
Medical transcription experience strongly preferred.
Strong typing skill essential to success in this role.
One (1) year of pathology transcription experience strongly preferred.

Schedule: FULL-TIME, Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
