Job Title: Payroll Administrator
Department: Accounting
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Payroll Classification: Non-Exempt – Hourly position
Education/Experience: Prior experience in a payroll or accounting position
Associates Degree preferred but not required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
· Maintain strict confidentiality pertaining to all payroll matters
· Meticulous attention to detail
· Solid math aptitude
· Knowledge of payroll and tax regulations
· Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
· Capacity to work independently
· Interact as a team member and work with related departments
· Knowledgeable of departmental procedures in order to follow and implement policies
· Utilize computer system, internet, email and other office equipment
Essential Duties:
· Process weekly payroll for all employees
· Run special payrolls, such as profit sharing and bonuses
· Maintain company time clocks and accessories
· Input changes to employee’s hours worked based on verified weekly time sheets,
when required
· Enter new and terminated employee information for payroll purposes
· Update employee payroll information based on changes to addresses, court ordered garnishments or employee requested deductions
· Process all 401K transactions
· Administer company tax payments
· Maintain accurate organizational payroll files
· Manage attendance reports
· Assist employees with payroll inquiries
· Follow and comply with all company safety policies and procedures within the company handbook
Other Duties:
· Maintain immediate work area, as well as common work areas
· Responsible for any other assigned duties that may be required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $20.00 per hour
