Small independent nonprofit seeking a Payroll Specialist. Looking for a strong payroll candidate who is familiar with HR duties as well. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for over 100 employees
  • Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential
  • Ensure company compliance with federal and state regulations
  • Calculates FTE percentages and track Eligibility Requirements for 401K. Annually insures both Worker's Compensation and SUI rates are updated in Payroll system.
  • Assists with New Hire orientation/on boarding
  • Assists with setting up benefits
  • Ability to extract various payroll reports as requested
  • Attention to detail when entering data accurately
  • Other ad hoc assignments as needed
  • Exercise of proper data management by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data

Requirements:

  • Must have MS Office knowledge excel
  • Must pay attention to detail
  • Familiar handling a full cycle payroll (home care a plus!)
  • Strong working knowledge of HR payroll system (Paycom a plus)
  • Previous Human Resources (HR) Administration experience preferred
  • Familiarity with Sage Accounting PA plus
