Guardian Angels Homecare in Cheshire has two PCA-Personal Care Assistant positions for Wallingford. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, reliable, a good communicator and experienced.

Saturdays and Sundays 12:00pm-4:00pm; $18.00/hour

Responsibilities include:

Helping with bathing/personal care/grooming/dressing/undressing

Support clients who can't move on their own/turning/positioning/transferring

Monitor skin care/observation/treatment

Ensure client receives their medication on time/Cues

Do necessary housekeeping to maintain a clean environment/Making bed

Laundry

Meal Preparation/Planning according to client's restrictions/Feeding

Grocery shopping/Errands/Accompany to medical appointments

Personal Business/Paying bills/Communications

Socialization/Conversation/Emotional support

Telephone use

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year home care experience
• Authorized to work in the United States
• A valid driver's license and your own insured vehicle
• Able to do housework and cooking
• Hoyer lift experience is a plus
• Well-organized and reliable
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Must be able to read and write in English
• High school diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Weekend availability
