BAE Systems is in search of a PC Designer to work out of our Greenlawn, NY or Totowa NJ location. This role is currently a hybrid role with the possibility of working full time remote from home down the road.

In this role, the PC Designer will design moderate to complex printed circuit board layouts and drawings with digital, analog, RF, power circuits and interconnect applications.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Place and route components ensuring that all electrical and physical specifications meet the specific design requirements for each PCB design.
- Participate in design reviews, interface with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing and process engineers to design proto-type and production quality printed circuit boards in accordance with BAE Systems standards and procedures.
- Create fabrication and assembly drawings, parts list, incorporate changes to existing design documentation and create and maintain component library.
- Generate all outputs files required for the manufacture of the board and assembly.
- Create new and make changes to existing schematic Diagrams using Schematic Capture Cadence Concept HDL
- Work closely with various engineering disciplines, designers and Technical leads.
- Provide feedback to design engineers as needed to ensure functionality and manufacturability of PCB designs.
- Suggest options when faced with challenging PCB design situations including resolutions to non-standard problems.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Must have at least 3+ years of hands on experience in printed circuit design and layout.
- Knowledge of Cadence Software Tools a plus.
- Schematic entry experience required.
- Knowledge of IPC-6012, IPC-2221 and associated specification and industry standards.
- Knowledge of researching and understanding of Military and commercial Specifications.
- Strong communication skills
- Knowledge of creating Engineering Drawings and incorporation of Engineering Change Orders.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of design experience of Rigid and Flex Printed Circuit Boards
- Proficient with Cadence Allegro version 17 or higher.
- Must be proficient in using the Cadence constraint manager.
- Knowledge of Cadence Schematic Concept HDL
- Knowledge of IPC-6012, IPC-2221 and associated spec and standards.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) rules.
