What You Will Do to Change Lives

The Peer Recovery Coach I engages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the members to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goals. Peer Recovery Coaches provide consultation to the team to promote and reinforce Telecare’s Recovery Culture as defined by the Telecare Recovery Centered Clinical System (RCCS) in which each member’s point of view and preferences are recognized, understood, respected, and integrated into services and self-help programming. Additionally, Peer Recovery Coaches respond to critical situations with high-level engagement and de-escalation skills which support a least restrictive environment for members served experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challenge.

Shifts Available:

Full Time; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or PM 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Days vary as needed

Part Time; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or PM 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Days vary as needed

Short Hour; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm or PM 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm; Days vary as needed

Short Hour .4; AM 7:00 am - 3:30 pm; Saturday and Sunday

Short Hour .4; NOC 11:00 pm - 7:00 am; Saturday and Sunday

Wage range $17.30 - $ 24.41 Hourly or $19.50 - $28.72 Hourly NOC Shift – Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

What You Bring to the Table (Must Have)

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • One (1) year or part-time equivalent of experience supporting members served with behavioral health challenges
  • Utilizing your own lived mental health or substance use recovery story to help empower others on their recovery journey
  • Successful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment Training.

Telecare Olive House- 14149 Bucher Ave, RTP-D, Sylmar, CA 91342

Telecare Magnolia House- USC Campus- Los Angeles, CA

Services will help clients in acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization, emergency services, and incarceration; regain their stability in a safe, homelike environment; begin working toward longer-term recovery goals; and establish linkages with stable housing and ongoing treatment.
