Job description
Catawba Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and motivated individual to work as a Pharmacy Technician within the Pharmacy Department. The successful candidate will work a Monday through Friday schedule with normal work hours of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Duties will include:
Physician Order Entry: Computer entry, fill physician orders for pharmacist check, delivery to units, re-stocking, generate Physician Orders, and other related duties as assigned. Fill medication carts for/with pharmacist. Back-up of other Technicians, Unit Dosing, shredding, updating references, inventory maintenance. Perform inspections of all medication storage areas using designated inspection record.

Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician
CPhT and Board of Pharmacy registration.
Ability to organize and work under pressure, good keyboarding skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
