Education & Experience
- Current and in good standing Registered Pharmacy Technician from the Florida Board of Pharmacy.
- CPhT certification preferred, but not required
- High School Diploma/GED preferred, but not required
- Two to three years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician working in retail setting preferred.
- Bilingual preferred
- RX30 experience preferred
Core Competencies
- Compounding experience preferred but not necessary
- Vaccine credentials are a plus
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to accurately count money and facilitate other forms of payment at the counter
- Communicates effectively with customers, referring physician staff, and colleagues/employees of organization.
- Ability to interact and communicate with people over the phone, sometimes in stressful situations.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task.
- Exceptional pharmacy data entry processing skills required
- Ability to verify data input and correct errors.
- Reads and accurately interprets documents such as prescriptions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Conveys empathy and understanding when handling customer service issues.
- Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Computes rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Applies common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
