Photo Studio Assistant Producer
IMPACT ON OUR BUSINESS
The Photo Studio Assistant Producer will work closely with the Studio Director maintaining budgets, studio schedules, organization, product/sample flow, and other various tasks. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for various aspects of production throughout the studio, relaying critical information from creative and merchandise teams, to resourcefully execute production needs.
INTERACTION
- Reports to Photo Studio Director
- Interacts with Creative Director (DVP), DMM’s, Buyers, Assistant Buyers and Techs, Photographers, Stylists, Merchandise Coordinators and Art Directors.
- Interacts/oversees freelance personnel including stylists, models and photographers.
EXPECTATIONS FOR SUCCESS
- Coordinate with Studio Director to manage photography schedule.
- Maintain workflow that ensures completing the daily production requirements, including last minute production requests from partner departments.
- Manage the merchandise coordination staff and their workflow on a daily basis, as well as handle administrative responsibilities relevant to staff.
- Partners with Photo Studio Director and Manager of Marketing Media to determine and maintain monthly budget and provide proactive cost savings suggestions.
- Manage prop budget, craft service budget and p-card receipts.
- Submit and manage the expenses for the Photo Studio.
- Lead pre-production meetings for stylists, photographers and art directors to gather information critical to execution of photo shoot.
- Schedule and book freelance photographers, stylists and hair and makeup artists.
- Assist in booking models for advertising, visual and ecommerce, then work with modeling agencies to schedule their services.
- Procure permits, Certificate of Insurance and additional needs for location shoots.
- Attend Location shoots, assisting in leading and producing the Photo Studio Team, freelance and models.
- Produce in studio shoots for Fashion and Product Photography making sure both teams are prepped and ready for the daily shoots, assist and oversee when needed.
- On set presence to assist photographer, stylist and models to ensure photography directives are captured.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises studio merchandise coordinators and dresser/pinner.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Beall’s policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
KEY ATTRIBUTES
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- High School or equivalent with one year plus inventory experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and oral communication skills.
- Must be proficient with Macintosh OS, Windows OS and Microsoft Office (outlook, Word, Excel).
- Willing to Learn in-house software (Oracle, Cumulus, Capture One, AS400, etc.).
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- On set production experience working with stylists and models.
- Ability to increase workflow production and cost savings wherever applicable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must have ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must have full body rotation (i.e., bending, stooping, twisting, etc.).
- Able to be outside in Florida weather 12 months out of the year, as needed for location shoots.
- Must be able to see and distinguish color.
