Summary:
The Chicago Tribune is seeking an energetic, creative and talented photojournalist to join our award-winning staff and cover a diverse and dynamic city.
We’re seeking a photographer with a passion to tell the stories of those we cover, and can thrive as part of a team. The position will concentrate on still photography but video expertise is a plus. We expect creative, relevant storytelling in a fast-paced, digital-first environment. You’ll cover the news of the city and region, from breaking news to politics, food, sports and long-term enterprise stories. Staff photojournalists are encouraged to generate story ideas with strong news value.
What you will bring:

Minimum of 2 years of experience

Excellent news judgment and the highest of ethics in journalism

The ability to cover a wide range of events, and be able write effective and clear captions with context and depth

Proficiency with Photoshop, Premiere, Photo Mechanic and other photo and video editing software

Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
Equipment is provided. This position may involve working nights/weekends and/or holidays. Some travel may be required.
