Sigma Health Rehab is looking for a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to work in a skilled nursing facility.

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our professional team at Sigma Health Rehab. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong background in Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), and a passion for improving the lives of our patients.

PTA Requirements Include:

· A graduate of an accredited PTA Program

· Current New York State PTA License

· Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

PTA Duties Include:

• Measuring & recording resident’s motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe Residents and write progress reports.
• Assist Residents in carrying out specific exercises.
• Treat Residents with varieties of techniques, like stretching and massage.
• Help Residents use necessary equipment and devices.
• Educate Residents on how to exercise properly to strengthen muscle and improve mobility.
• Maintains Resident confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Contributes to the team effort.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,200.00 - $70,700.00 per year
