Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), First Shift, In Patient Department
UC Health is hiring a full- time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for the In-patient department for the day shift at Danie Drake Center for Post-Acute Care.
The Physical Therapy Assistant will support Daniel Drake's In patient (OT - PT) Department delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures.

Responsibilities
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an individual will be supporting Physical Therapists in assisting patients with their recovery from injury. Your primary duties will include readying the necessary therapy equipment for appointments, performing massage and stretching exercises on patients, and ensuring therapy areas are kept clean and sanitary.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Responsibilities
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is an individual will be supporting Physical Therapists in assisting patients with their recovery from injury. Your primary duties will include readying the necessary therapy equipment for appointments, performing massage and stretching exercises on patients, and ensuring therapy areas are kept clean and sanitary.
- Recognizes and responds to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect. Implements the treatment plan designed by a licensed physical therapist in collaboration with the treatment team. While able to articulate outcomes and improvements.
- Shares responsibility for the common goals of the team by carrying patient caseload consistent with peers, maintains benchmark productivity level within time designated to patient care
- Active participation in mentoring and orientation of fellow associates and students as indicated. Current activities of committees. Active participation in mentoring and orientation of fellow associates and students as indicated.
- Identifies and responds appropriately to different patient needs resulting from behavioral health problems, unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree with a major in physical therapy assistant
- Licensed by the State of Ohio as a physical therapist assistant.
- Certified in CPR.
- Prefer one year but will consider new grad.
