We are looking for one Physical Therapist Assistant, who lives in PG County, and one who lives in Montgomery County/Howard County to support our physical therapists. Our clients are all adults, all ages, recovering from surgery at home. The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for participating in carrying out the rehabilitative plan of care for our clients, under the guidance and in cooperation with the physical therapist. We also provide an additional $5,400. a year (non-taxable) for gas and car maintenance ($207.70 per payroll). Driving to see an average of 6 patients per weekday between the hours of 8:00AM-5:00PM. - Confirm with clients their appointments.
- Follow the PT's plan of care for each patient
- Massage and stretch muscles where necessary
- Set up therapy equipment
- Sanitize the therapy area
- Lift or move patients
- Monitor patients during sessions
- Guide patients through exercises where necessary
- Brief patients and their families on after-therapy care
- Write daily progress notes and submit them in a timely manner.
Physical Therapist Assistant Requirements:
- Certification from a physical therapist assistant program
- Valid physical therapist assistant license for the state of Maryland
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift and move patients
- Computer literacy skills
- Drive to continually learn new treatment techniques.
- Driver’s license and own car with proof of auto insurance
- BLS certified
- An earnest desire to contribute to our client’s recovery experience at home.
