Job Summary and Qualifications

• Adheres to and demonstrates all Values and Care Promises on a consistent basis.
• Greets patients upon arrival and enters necessary data into the computer including attending visit, confirmation of insurance billing information and patient demographics. Obtains annual HIPAA authorizations and enters this information into the EMR.
• Answers a multi-line phone in a timely and courteous manner. Schedules and confirms patient appointments according to established guidelines. Refers medically related calls to the providers and/or therapists for triage and creates appropriate phone note documentation in the EMR. Promptly notifies the providers and/or therapists of cancellations/changes. Screens phone calls and visitors, and routes messages to the appropriate party.
• Monitors the waiting area, informs patients of any delays and assists them with completion of any required forms including evidence based outcome tools.
• Ensures that all “New” patient referrals have the necessary paperwork needed for the office visit as outlined by the department procedures.
• Completes scheduling patient follow up visits as outlined by the therapists. Schedules testing and consults as ordered by the therapist in accordance with office procedures. Faxes all appropriate information.
• Completes and forwards information requested by payers including referral forms, copies of reports, records, on a timely basis. Maintains a tracking system of reports requested by, sent to and returned from Medical

High School Graduate / GED required
