We currently have an opportunity within our Work Ready program as a Placement Counselor. The Work Ready program provides a comprehensive set of employment-oriented services to those receiving Public Assistance benefits, including those who are in need of specific help managing barriers to self-sufficiency.

This role, located in our office in Center City Philadelphia, offers flexibility and a hybrid environment, including 3 days each week on-site and 2 days remote. This position is full time, 35 hours per week.

Day-to-Day:

• Provide appropriate community service sites, job search and job placement activities; place clients at those sites
• Arrange for on-site employer presentations
• Develop on-going relationships with employers
• Facilitate employment and other related work shops
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in related field required; Special training may be acceptable in lieu of college degree.
• 2+ years of experience in sales, job development, etc.
• Must have strong interpersonal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and collaborate with a variety of customers in the Welfare to Work Industry
• Proficient in MS Office applications (especially MS Word and Excel).

The base pay for this position ranges from $40,500 to $49,500 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
