Plant Manager – Stanley, WI
This is an exempt level position
The plant manager for the Stanley, WI dried sweeteners location will be responsible for daily oversight as well as long term vision of operational strategies associated with safety, quality assurance, environmental compliance, production, yield, cost management, capital disciplines and colleague development. The Stanley location produces a variety of food grade dried sweetener products and non-food grade dried soap products. This union facility has a workforce comprised of approximately 10 hourly and 4 salaried employees.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Display a commitment to lead, participate in and support ongoing safety engagement.
  • Develop, coach and motivate colleagues through diversity and inclusion, leadership capabilities, A2E principles and PE principles.
  • Leverage basic PE principles to drive a culture of continuous improvement within the facility with particular emphasis on colleague safety and food safety.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, trust and early escalation of issues and concerns.
  • Effectively collaborate with COE’s: EHS, quality/food safety, performance management, utilities, RCM, technology, capex, process optimization and human resources.
  • Direct the operation of the plant, which includes safety and environmental compliance, manufacturing quality products, production, cost optimization, yield and sustainability.
  • Promote collaboration and teamwork among the operations, management, quality and EHS staff at the facility.
  • Oversee performance development for all salaried colleagues at the facility.
  • Maintaining a positive community relationship.
Job Qualifications:
  • The ability to implement change when necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills to provide guidance and feedback.
  • Results driven to provide support to achieve the goals established by the division.
  • Willingness to learn and apply PE principles at a smaller location. Experience in Performance Excellence is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of Continuous Improvement and Readiness.
  • The ability to provide motivation to direct reports and demonstrate leadership qualities to all plant personnel.
  • Use PE and A2E principles to drive improvement and collaboration.
  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related study is preferred.
  • 3+ years of production management experience.
