Plant Manager -

Sunbury, OH

Oberfields LLC is currently seeking an individual to work as a Plant Managerat our Sunbury, OH facility. This position will be responsible for production scheduling, production, quality control, equipment maintenance, shipping yard, safety training, and financial responsibility of the business unit. Ideal candidates for our Plant Managerposition will be energetic, organized, have basic mathematic ability, five years of experience in manufacturing, leadership skills, and shipping and receiving operational experience. They should be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Plant Managerposition will report directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Outside of this area, we partner with a qualified network of distributors throughout Ohio and several additional states throughout the country.

Job Description

· Oversee production control for multi-shift manufacturing

o Oversees the tracking and flow of paperwork for all production inventory transactions that are needed.

· Provide production reports as required

o Monitor types of products produced by plant for current and future capacity planning.

· Manage the financial responsibility for the Sunbury business unit.

· Effectively manage all personnel

o In cooperation with the Human Resources Department, interview, hire, review, and discipline personnel as deemed necessary

o Train and develop personnel to allow them the opportunity to reach their full potential

§ Properly train operators in equipment operation, inspection, and problem recognition.

§ Ensure all employees are properly trained on forklift and front-end loader equipment.

o Motivate employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives

o Schedule personnel for proper coverage

o Promote teamwork within the department

o Complete regular performance evaluations and maintain record of employee accomplishments and challenges

· Ensure the effectiveness of all processes within your circle of influence in satisfying our customers’ needs in the most efficient manner possible.

o In cooperation with all teammates, evaluate and modify processes as needed to constantly improve our ability to serve our customers.

§ Product quality control

o Process quality control

§ Lead Quality effort at the Sunbury Plant

§ Seek continual Quality and Quantity improvements through continual improvement efforts

o Equipment maintenance

o Ensure QC procedures are maintained

o Raw Material & Finished Goods Warehousing & Inventory Control

o Purchasing

§ Maintain inventory level of all supplies and raw materials as needed to facilitate efficient operations

§ Continually evaluate vendor performance & potential suppliers

o Safety

§ Maintain safe environment

§ Safety Training

§ Maintain OSHA Compliant Facility & Practices

§ Ensure that all company safety policies and procedures are followed and maintained.

§ Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of all facilities and yard at the Sunbury Plant location
