Job description

We are currently seeking a qualified plumber for our maintenance department. We are a local residential development company who owns and manages apartment rental properties in the East End of Pittsburgh. The ideal candidate is someone with 5+ years of experience in plumbing, working within an apartment rental company, troubleshooting leaks, and working in buildings that may be over 100 years old. This person must also be able to work in a fast paced environment and have the ability to work well with others as a team.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

· Install pipes and fixtures including sinks, faucets, and toilets for water, gas, and steam systems

· Install and/or replace water heaters, oven ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers

· Repair and troubleshoot old plumbing, clogged drains, leaky faucets, and toilets

· Ability to write reports and execute plan of action for fixing plumbing and HVAC issues

· Ability to follow an apartment inspection checklist for plumbing systems

· Complete tasks and work orders timely and efficiently

· Provide possible future plumbing and HVAC improvements/issues in detailed manner

· Must be organized, self-motivated, and team oriented

Pay and Benefits offered

· Starting pay rate at $26 an hour

· Paid time off and paid holidays

· Paid gas allowance on duty

· 6 percent bonus of entire salary after one year of employment

· Health Insurance After 90 Days

· $2000 signing bonus paid after 90 days

· Performance review after 90 days with possible bonus
