Position: Plumbing Engineer
Location: On-site at one of our two Wisconsin offices in Waukesha, Wisconsin or Madison, Wisconsin.

We are seeking a highly talented and motivated person to fulfill the position of Plumbing Engineer. This person will work out of either our Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin office. The position includes plumbing design work, project development, and coordination. The ideal team member can perform all plumbing design responsibilities for a project from conception to completion and is well versed in sustainable design building systems for a variety of project types.
Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on plumbing.
Required Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in plumbing design work is preferred, although candidates of various experience and skill levels will be considered.
Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:
· Responsible for all aspects of engineering design, specific to the plumbing discipline within designated projects.
· Conceptualize the initial plumbing design approach for projects and maintain overall responsibility for the engineering and/or design work related to plumbing systems and code requirements through project completion.
· Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines, such as architectural, structural, electrical, and controls to resolve a variety of complex problems (i.e. conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
· Organize and prepare plumbing construction drawings, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates for projects involving new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing facilities.
· Have knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to plumbing systems and review designs for compliance with applicable codes and good engineering standards and practices.
· Participate in the contract bidding process; prepare and issue responses to contractor requests for information; and prepare and issue bulletin and change order documentation.
· Provide field engineering and construction services, such as shop drawing review and on-site observation.
· Possess strong communication and coordination skills, including understanding of systems coordination with other disciplines and agencies. Frequently and effectively communicate with clients and internal team members in the design and specification development of plumbing design.
· Motivated, team-oriented individual with the ability to meet fast-paced deadlines without compromising the design aspect of a project.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
