Jazz Home Services is looking for an outstanding Plumbing General Manager candidate with strong leadership and mentoring skills and passion for superior customer service. This individual must be a proven leader who is goal oriented, self-motivated and personable. The Plumbing General Manager is a motivator, recruiter and sales driver who motivates the team to provide customers superior service resulting in lead conversion and client fulfillment. Strong verbal and written communication skills and top-of-the-line customer service are a must. This position is provided with the support of a dynamic team, a large client database, a fleet of new vehicles, state of the art equipment and a sales focused management team. Duties consist of the strategic planning and continued growth of a dynamic, performance-driven team that believes in doing things the right way, not the easy way.

Responsibilities of a Plumbing General Manager

• Build, grow and develop Plumbing department

• Ensure customers receive superior on-time plumbing & water heater service

• Initiate growth focused activities to realize and capture market potential

• Strategize with management and sales staff to develop and grow business

• Responsible for budget and profit margins to meet and exceed business unit goals for sales and profitability

• Manage lead flow to grow and manage revenue

• Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly plans to ensure staff understands their goals

• Expand our plumbing customer base by identifying new prospective customers and developing them into repeat customers

• Manage inventory levels to ensure balance between ability to meet customer needs and excessive inventory levels

• Coordinate with call center agents to ensure customers receive excellent communication and service

• Foster an environment that promotes the company's values for people, performance, and ethics

• Monitor the financial performance of the department; achieve financial objectives and desirable ratio performance in conjunction with Executive Management

• Provide leadership and direction to employees of the company; ensure compliance with policies and work rules; take timely and appropriate steps to correct behavior and performance problems

• Promote a positive work environment for employees to ensure equal treatment for all and provide an environment that is compliant with the spirit of all employment laws and regulations

• Hire, train and develop plumbing staff to meet company objectives

• Maintain confidentially on all private, sensitive, and proprietary business issues and concerns

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications of a Plumbing General Manager

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a management/leadership role specializing in Plumbing Service is highly desired

• Must be able to think and plan strategically and have the ability to respond dynamically to challenges

• Must possess a drive to reach established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Plumbing certifications preferred

• Must have the ability to respond to technicians evenings and weekends as needed

• Must be able to pass background check, drug screen, have a valid CA driver's license with an acceptable driving record, and must be authorized to work in the United States

Physical Requirements of a Plumbing General Manager

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time using office equipment and computers

• Occasionally lift / carry / push / pull up to 75 lbs
