Job Summary and Qualifications
- Supervises and administers the facility Point-of-Care testing and department Quality Assurance programs under the direction of the department administrative and medical directors to meet patient care and regulatory agency requirements.
- Works with facility and department leaders to implement new programs monitor performance, collect and evaluate performance data, develop corrective action plans, and assist in the training and education of personnel regarding Point of Care and Quality activities.
- Supports the department Director in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities.
- Acts as a resource regarding point-of-care testing, quality control, quality assurance and regulatory affairs
- Monitor accreditation agency licensing status and assist department director in preparing licensing and renewal paperwork (CAP, CLIA, AHCA, business license, etc.)
- Prepare annual assessment of Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Regulatory compliance under the guidance of the Department director
- Performs technical duties within the department as required.
What qualifications you will need:
- 2 Year/Associate Degree required, 4 Year/Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology preferred
- State of Florida Technologist License OR the ability to obtain during the interview process
- State of Florida Supervisor's License is preferred
- 3-5 Years of Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with quality assurance and/or point-of-care testing
