Job Summary
Attend to guests in the Pool and Beach area, courteously and efficiently according to Carillon Miami Wellness Resort standards. Assist in the maintenance of the Pool and Beach area and equipment.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all Pool and Beach departmental policies/service procedures/standards.- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Maintain complete knowledge of Lounge, seat and station numbers, hours of operation and proper set-up of the Pool & Beach.
- Complete opening side duties as assigned:
- Check quality and amount of all Pool & Beach stock and supplies.
- Requisition all necessary supplies and transport from storeroom to Pool & Beach.
- Set up side station with supplies and equipment.
- Organize assigned station and ensure readiness prior to guest arrival.
- Properly breakdown and store all reusable goods.
- Clean all equipment.
- Restock items for next service.
- Remove all dirty linen.
- Extend appreciation for guest patronage and invite them to return.
- Complete all closing reports as assigned, leave duty after reporting to Management.
- Understands and responds to all guest needs and request in a timely and professional manner.
- Collects soiled towels for laundering.
- Folds and stores chairs, and umbrellas at sundown.
- Restock complimentary water, towels, chair covers throughout the day.
- Arriving guests are escorted to a chair, set-up assistance is provided or offered
- Arriving guests are proactively offered or served water
- Welcome guests to the pool and consistently offer professional, friendly, engaging service
- Verify guest credentials and assist guests with lounge chairs, umbrellas, beds around Pool and Beach area.
- Assist with additional amenities and services such as water, sunglasses cleaning, or passing complimentary treats.
- Assist with monthly pool and beach linen inventory as directed by pool and beach supervisor
- Collaborate closely with the pool and beach server for efficient and quick Food and Beverage service
- Assist guests at the beginning and end of water classes with towels and refreshments
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Ability to grasp, lift, move, or push goods on cart/truck weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to move safely in uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Remain in stationary position for 8 or more hours throughout work shift
- Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
- Previous experience in customer service
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Enjoy interacting with people
- Great verbal communication skills
- Second language preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
