POSITION DESCRIPTION

One post-doctoral position is available at the Remote Sensing and Ecosystem Change Lab and Biometeorology Lab, the University of California Davis. We are seeking a highly motivated scholar to work on an interdisciplinary project focusing on water use assessment for almond orchards with cover crops. We have experimental setup over multiple orchards with detailed measurements of evapotranspiration, soil moisture and whole fields water balance. The potential candidate might find exiting challenge in upscaling field measurements to vast area of almond growing industry across the whole state of California. In addition, the project PIs have numerous other projects where valuable new science on remote sensing can be also developed related to both water and carbon fluxes measured by eddy covariance technique. Experience in remote sensing technique and imagery processing is required; strong quantitative background is preferred, as well as understanding biometeorology principles.

This position is based at the Department of Land, Air, and Water Resources, University of California, Davis.
