The Goddard School, located in Marshallton/West Chester, a preschool/childcare center, is currently seeking loving, fun, energetic, full-time teachers to join our Preschool teaching team! Our 3 and 4 year old's have lots of energy and a love for learning, so our teachers are kept on their toes! We are more than just a daycare, we are a quality early childhood center and our teachers are true professionals!

We’d love experience with teaching in a classroom, but we’re also happy to help a great candidate just entering this field. Our teachers come from many different backgrounds and all we ask is that you bring a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

Candidates will be selected based on their ability to engage children in a safe, nurturing and loving manner, as well as effectively communicate with co-teachers and families. Our teachers create engaging learning environments filled with opportunities for children to explore, discover, and create with their teachers right by their sides guiding their learning process! We will provide a comprehensive training program.

Responsibilities:

• Our teachers care and educate our children, while meeting the individual needs of each child
• Our teachers creatively customize implement weekly lesson plans and schedules
• Our teachers help to design and maintain an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the Infants and Toddlers in the classroom
• Our teachers interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
• Our teachers communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
• Participation in staff and training meetings
• Compliance with current governmental regulations and company procedures and policies

Requirements:

• A CDA, Associates degree or Bachelor degree in education or related field OR experience working with young children
• Experience in a classroom/group setting with children under the age of 5
• Must be 18 years of age with the minimum of a high school degree
• Must be a team player
• Must live within a 30 minute commute of West Chester

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
