Infant Teacher Needed at The Learning Experience Battery Park

Come join our team and work in a state of the art, safe and secure building in Downtown Manhattan. Do you have a passion for working with children and the experience to go along with it? Are you looking to have fun at work while educating children of various ages? We are currently seeking an assistant teacher.

Our Infant Assistant Teacher will help plan, implement, and supervise the early childhood program that has been created by The Learning Experience while demonstrating exceptional professional conduct and consideration for the safety and well being of the children. (MUST HAVE INFANT EXPERIENCE 3-12 MONTHS)

Candidate must be 21 years old and possess following qualities: patient, team player, outgoing, even tempered, caring, loving, flexible, enthusiastic, creative, organized, dependable, professional, nurturing, good communication skills to converse with co-workers, children and parents. Infant/Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR a plus!

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years old Currently hold an Associate’s (AA or AS) degree is Early Childhood education OR have a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification and be on a study plan leading to an associate’s degree or bachelor degree in early childhood education. Be of good character and reputation Be of sufficient physical, mental and emotional health to perform job duties. Knowledge of toddler growth and development Clean background check DOI Fingerprinted

Desired Skills: Must be a TEAM PLAYER May be needed earlier/later on occasion Must be flexible with schedule High energy, enthusiasm, and an “over and above” attitude needed On a plan of Study is not needed, but is welcomed.

Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm (with an hour lunch break)

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
