About us

Summary: We are looking for a special individual who like to work and learn. We will train many of the skills needed to operate the equipment. Candidate should enjoy working with their hands. We welcome those who speak Spanish as a first language, but understand instructions in English.

Sentinel is a 160 year old family business located in Hempstead, New York. We seek people who enjoy printing and putting ink on paper. We will always entertain a conversation even if you do not fit the job description, but have a love for the industry.

Activities may include (we are willing to train some skills):

Handwork, collating, packing and shipping

Folding, machine and by hand

Bindery activities including machine cutting, scoring, saddle stitching (willing to train)

Operate inserting equipment for mailings

Shipping, output of labels for UPS, FedEx and USPS

Laminating, foil stamping (will train)

Use of heat press for creating textiles

Sewing (a huge benefit if candidate knows how to sew).

Salary will be based on experience
