Job Description
UniversaCare is seeking a Recruiter to work in our Hicksville office location.
Job Requirements:
Source home health aides (HHA) through employment websites, industry contacts, social media, employees, etc.
Complete initial phone screens to evaluate applicants’ qualifications
Schedule and conduct orientation with applicants, ensuring that all required paperwork is submitted, and that company policies and procedures are reviewed
Maintain privacy and ensure employees’ information is kept confidential
Verify employment history and conduct reference checks
Work directly with staffing coordinators to ensure employees are cleared to work
Create and maintain all new and current employees’ files
Schedule all employees for in-service training and ensure all tests and acknowledgement forms are complete
Assist in the periodic audit of all HHA files to ensure compliance with HRA, DOH, OSHA and other government agencies’ requirements
Ensure compliance regarding Short-Term Disability, New York Paid Leave Act, Workers' Compensation, and Family Medical Leave Act
Professional Qualifications:
Must speak Spanish
Associate Degree or higher in Management, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in recruiting/human resources
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must be well organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Ability to multi-task
