Role and Responsibilities:
- Correct and reconcile patient invoices to resolve any discrepancies and send invoices on a monthly basis
- Investigate all Private Pay refund requests to ensure the request is valid
- Call Payers to reverify insurance to ensure accuracy in deductible and co-insurance
- Ability to be able to read and understand EOBs.
- Must be articulate, professional and comfortable with speaking with families about past due balances.
- Initiate collections process on past-due accounts
- Post cash and reconcile private pay accounts
Requirements:
- Associates degree preferred, will take five consistent years’ in medical billing, in lieu of degree.
- 5 years of knowledge in a medical clinic, therapy or hospital setting preferred
- Exhibit high quality work
