Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, procedures and policies, the registered cardiovascular technologist assists the physician and/or radiologist with a variety of angiographic procedures including invasive vascular treatments and interventional exams. Responsibilities include production of high quality angiographicutilizing fluoroscopy and cineangiography, identifying and labelling hemodynamics, correlating EKGs and hemodynamics to angiographic findings, and performing vascular hemostasis. The Cardiovascular Technologist also reviews patient’s history, gathers and prepares equipment, and documents in patient charts, must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes and be “on call” per department requirements, which include being continuously available to be on-site within thirty (30) minutes.

Education: Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) accredited radiography program or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification: Certified registered technologist of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Cardiovascular Registered.

.Experience: Previous experience preferred.

Skills: Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to exhibit patience and tact and maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all situations with all constituents including patients, physicians and other associates. Must also demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes, be cooperative and collaborative, and have the documented ability to work with speed and proficiency while under stress.
