Position Summary:
Develops, plans and manages all activities of a school/unit program(s) or project(s). Functions in a Leadership capacity in the program.
- Department: Emergency Medicine
- Location: Jesse Jones Library @ 1133 John Freeman Blvd
- Status: PRN/ Casual
Position Key Accountabilities:
- Assist with oversight of all aspects of the Simbulance project activities including coordinating events, monitoring progress, assigning responsibilities, and providing direction and guidance on simulation equipment.
- Assists Sr. Program Manager with day-to-day operations of the program.
- Serves as the subject matter expert to develop, program, and deliver simulation program content.
- Utilizes the Simbulance and simulation equipment to deliver on-site training.
- Stays abreast of new protocols and policies and develops and updates training programs accordingly.
- Ensures compliance and follows internal and external rules, regulations and standards.
- Develops and manages partnerships with internal and external departments/companies regarding strategy and collaborative opportunities.
- Working in conjunction with the Department’s web developer, may create and edit various communications materials for the Simbulance activities, which may include content for printed materials, website and/or department newsletters.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Certification/Skills:
- Paramedic certification
- TWIC Card
- Houston Area Safety Council Basic +
- Must pass MVR check
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years of applicable experience.
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Security Sensitive:
This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215
Residency Requirement:
Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
