Description

Work with limited supervision to provide technical knowledge and guidance assisting with maintenance and repair of automation systems and associated circuitry. Provides installation, diagnostics, repair and programming of industrial automation systems and equipment.

  • Provides installation, diagnostics, repair and programming of industrial automation equipment (i.e. instrumentation, industrial communications, DCS, HMI, PLC, PC interface, and third party equipment).
  • Interface with staff engineers, external technical representatives, operations, and maintenance personnel. Provide automation system maintenance, electrical/instrumentation assistance, and associated programming for support.
  • Run and optimize the process. Input samples into the automated process lines and troubleshoot to identify problems and fix them as required.
  • Ensures assay quality by calibration and maintenance of automated equipment
  • Actively participates in safety and environmental programs and other programs determined by management.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Completion of an approved certified electronics, electrical and/or instrumentation program or minimum of four (4) years of experience in electrical and/or instrumentation repair and maintenance
  • Strong technical knowledge in communication, interfaces and protocols
  • Ability to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for trouble shooting and repair
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to satisfy training, safety, and electronic message transmission policies of the company
  • Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety.

  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

Pay Range:

$35.25 - $42.05/Hourly

Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
