Overview:
This role will be responsible for ensuring that vineyard vines gets the most value for all expenditures related to indirect goods and services. Maximizing value will be accomplished through reducing costs while improving quality, capability, functionality and “demand” visibility for goods and services. Strong stakeholder collaboration with cross functional partners such as Finance, Legal, Store teams, Marketing, IT, and other users of goods and services is critical to successfully leveraging and maintaining adherence to the Procurement process. This role will also help enable the business to budget spend and help manage key vendor relationships.
You Will:
- Develop robust category strategies and align with internal category owners/stakeholders
- Monitor supplier and supply market conditions – partner with stakeholders to identify alternate supply base and changing/evolving industry capabilities and offerings
- Ensure proper preparation and due diligence is performed for each category to execute against the rolling sourcing calendar. Evolve timing of categories to leverage market conditions, manage resources and ensure that a robust sourcing process can be followed
- Develop RFI/RFP and conduct thorough sourcing events
- Analyze and draw insights to supplier responses to RFP and RFI’s to support negotiations
- Leverage industry benchmarks for opportunity assessment and negotiations
- Perform analysis and build cost models – analyze and provide insights and recommendations
- Develop robust supplier scorecards – to monitor, measure and hold suppliers accountable to quality, performance and other SLA’s
- Partner with Finance to track and ensure savings are realized as well supporting the category budget process
- Lead/participate transition teams to new suppliers where applicable
What you bring:
- 7+ years of functional experience in best practice sourcing techniques and process, contract negotiation, and analysis.
- Experience managing supplier relationships preferably working in Retail industry
- Experience in building category strategies in indirect spend areas
- Experience in monitoring supply markets and supply base
- Ability to collaborate and partner with cross functional stakeholders such as: Finance, Accounts Payable, Legal, Marketing and IT to ensure timely resolution of items in the procure-to-pay process
- Strong financial, quantitative and analytical skills. Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel and ability to solve complex problems, synthesize insights from analysis and communicate credible, actionable recommendations
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with all levels and functions in the organization. Proficiency in Google Slides and Docs or PowerPoint and Word
- Strong organizational and program management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self confidence and strong interpersonal skills
- “Change Agent” to challenge status quo / ability to bring new thinking to table
- Facilitation skills for change management
- Bachelor’s degree with analytical focus and/or procurement, supply chain, program management and/or relevant certifications
