Progressive organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Inventory Specialist to join our growing company. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and high levels of motivation. The Inventory Specialist will be responsible for inventory control and purchasing including managing stock levels, monitoring store supplies, keeping records of purchasing and sales, as well as ensuring that the warehouse has everything it needs to function efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Control and maintain materials, components, and finished products inventory records and reports.
- Monitor, analyze, and follow up on inventory levels.
- Compare inventory counts with previous count results to ensure that there are no problems.
- Purchases supplies, materials, and parts for the company.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, prices, buyers, and delivery conditions to anticipate future material availability.
- Develops and maintains inventory databases for supplies and materials used.
- Reviews purchase orders and contracts for compliance with company and departmental policies.
- Collaborates with sales and logistics departments to maximize efficiency.
- Communicates with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, price, or conditions of sale.
- Develops and implements policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize workflow.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to exercise tact, courtesy, and ethics when dealing with vendors, co-workers, and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, as well as inventory software (Oracle Netsuite experience preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
