Job description

Our client is seeking an Procurement Specialist (Buyer) with experience working with a distribution or manufacturing company.

This position is located in King of Prussia and would require in office attendance for training and then would work a hybrid schedule.

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $25 - 35 / hour, based on the amount of relevant experience

Job Functions of an Procurement Specialist (Buyer):

• Attain and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials and supply items
• Partner with engineering, production teams when there are changes to products/BOMs and inform the vendors of the same
• Purchase order management including creating Purchase Orders, following up to track delivery, and maintenance of the material re-order process.
• Communicate with vendors regarding requested dates of incoming orders to meet production demand
• Create/maintain vendor information, including account numbers and order processes for each vendor
• Partner with other cross functional teams as needed

Requirements for Procurement Specialist (Buyer):

• At least 2 years of prior experience within Procurement. Preferably within manufacturing or distribution
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Excel, ERP software)
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience and understanding of the shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
