If you are an experienced Product Marketing Manager looking for a challenge, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Our HVACR Technologies, Americas business is looking for a Product Marketing Manager to join our Air Management team in Sidney, OH , with responsibility for the commercialization of our liquid desiccant-based Direct Outside Air product line. The Product Marketing Manager will report to the Vice President of Air Management and Business Development and will be responsible for the initial launch, growth, and profitability of our new line of products. This individual will guide continuing development of our technology and R&D efforts to take advantage of opportunities to utilize our innovative liquid desiccant technology.
AS A PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- Be responsible for market and product strategy, and execution for the Air Management business.
- Develop, communicate, and implement multi-generational product life-cycle strategies to meet future market needs and establish clear product differentiation for existing and developing markets.
- Understand and communicate future market trends with an emphasis on innovative liquid desiccant technology opportunities, regulatory policy activities, and sustainability trends.
- Identify, analyze, and prioritize product opportunities for profitable sales growth.
- Develop product specifications that will guide engineering and operations teams in the development of new products.
- Work with Sales and Marketing teams to validate strategic plans and build go-to-market and customer-based strategies.
- Develop customer-based relationships to guide future technology development, valuation, and VOC for continued product-line success.
- Develop long-range forecasts in support of high-level business case development to prioritize business development.
- Ensure product compliance with federal and local standards and regulations.
- Manage with Marketing the development and support of product documentation, and training materials.
- Be a key player in technology/product conceptualization, development, and execution of product and solution programs, instilling best practices and disciplined accountability for key program items and milestones.
- Support market research priorities and tasks to support data-driven technology/product directions.
WHO YOU ARE:
You readily tackle tough assignments and play a key role in developing strategic marketing and technology development direction for the Air Management team. You drive alignment with our product-focused organization on commercial strategy and build the business case and rationale for prioritizing the technology development roadmap. You support regulatory and customer communications to ensure alignment with future trends and insight into how the multi-generation strategy aligns with future market needs and company goals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of relevant experience
- Technical aptitude and business acumen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Product marketing/business development knowledge
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Mechanical Engineering, plus ten (10) years of relevant experience
- Master of Business Administration
- HVACR industry experience
- Technical aptitude and business acumen
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Product marketing/business development knowledge
Flexible Work Schedule – Remote Work Option and Core Hours
This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am - 3:00pm. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.

Our newly renovated Sidney campus has 1M square feet of manufacturing floor with an additional 120k square feet of leading-edge lab facilities. This location is the headquarters for our HVACR Americas business unit. Through our many years of compressor expertise, our products help bring comfort and convenience to refrigeration, commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Approximately 1600 employees work in Sidney, who all support a multitude of business functions.
