As Manager, Pinner Lifecycle and Retention Product Marketing, you will report to the Head of Pinner Product Marketing, and partner closely with product and marketing leadership to set the vision, strategy and roadmap for establishing a growth and engagement function within the consumer product marketing team. You will develop an on platform Pinner retention marketing strategy from the ground up, defining both the strategy and tactics, as well as the metrics for success including driving user engagement. Additionally, you will manage and build out a team to support this vision. You will identify high potential segments, key features for these segments to adopt to increase engagement, and bring to life a series of tests to understand the best channels and methods to get Pinners to take action. You will leverage a strong understanding of our customers and their key journeys, as well as expertise with lifecycle marketing and CRM comms to create engaging concepts and marketing programs to achieve these goals.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and well-versed in collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and develop multi-channel programs with proper implementation and measurement.

What you’ll do:

  • Set the vision, strategy and roadmap for on platform retention marketing efforts, and define the metrics used to measure success including engagement and converting users from yearly to monthly active users in a scalable and efficient way.
  • Deeply understand target customer segments and priority insights (what resonates, when, in which channels) to drive desired behaviors by segment.
  • Partner with product to develop the strategy for cadence, creative, and sequencing of user messages across multiple CRM channels (email, in-product notifications, etc), leveraging your expertise in lifecycle management and creative marketing to create and continuously test, measure, and improve your efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to lead rapid experimentation of customer journeys to grow and optimize our plans.
  • Develop a playbook for on-platform product adoption campaigns.
  • Develop a seasonal moments strategy in tandem with the marketing and editorial/content teams to drive user engagement.

What we’re looking for:

  • 10+ years of experience in CRM, Loyalty, Segmentation Strategy; experience in Growth Product Management or Product Marketing a plus.
  • Experience with data-driven customer segmentation (behavioral, demographic, etc.) & conducting growth experiments, A/B and multivariate tests, funnel analysis with a proven track record of success.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Fluency in Tableau; ability to write SQL queries is a plus.
  • Experience with Email, SMS, and in-product notifications.
  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
  • Keen ability to translate complexity into simple, clear communication and approach.

Colorado based applicants only:

  • The minimum and maximum salary for this position is $155,300 to $232,900 in Colorado;
  • This position is eligible for equity; and

  • This compensation and benefits information is based on Pinterest’s good faith estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, travel, shift requirements, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
