About the role:

Product Owners at NationsBenefits are responsible for coordinating across departments to create an exceptional product. They are responsible for managing pipelines, understanding business wants and needs, and directing the technical team to achieve the product and company goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop product roadmaps and timelines and keep them up to date
• Provide updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders
• Collaborate with many departments for product support
• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Create project artifacts such as requirements, wireframes, user flows, diagrams
• Adhere to software development lifecycle practices to move development forward
• Manage the business analysts to create a product that solves the business problems
• Organize product research

Requirements:

• 2-4+ years of technical product management experience, especially driving product delivery from conception to launch, and owning the product's roadmap afterwards
• Knowledge of effective project and product management methodologies and software
• Comfortable working with remote teams and across departments
• Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and iterate quickly within an early-stage industry
• Entry-level SQL knowledge (advanced SQL a big plus)

Nice-to-haves:

• Advance SQL experience
• User experience knowledge
• Prior web development experience
• Experience working in the managed care industry or other healthcare industries
• E-Commerce experience
